The book focuses on the inequalities in the labor market, but the analysis is also broadened to encompass inequalities in access to and distribution of economic resources, i.e. economic inequalities within the family and the household, and the conflicts arising while balancing work at home and for the market. What makes the analysis particularly valuable are the comparative perspective juxtaposing the situation in Serbia to the one in the EU, and the review of relevant theories and methodological approaches in contemporary sociology, economy, and feminist theory.
