The book is divided into four main chapters which by deploying sociological, ethnological and cultural perspectives analyze alcohol use, alcoholism and prevention strategies. One of the policy-oriented objectives is to indicate the necessity for the state and civil society take on a more active responsibility concerning alcohol abuse and addiction.
