In this book, focusing on the sociological analysis of social organizations, the author first defines the main subject of organizational sociology, and then presents major theoretical approaches in the field. He goes on to explore how societal and cultural environments influence the formation and functioning of social organizations. The final section analyzes organizational structures, systems and processes, addressing issues such as organizational cultures, types of leadership, forms of members’ motivation and participation, and the ways in which change in organizations takes place.
