Biography
Andrija Golubović is a Research Assistant at the Institute for Sociological Research and a PhD student at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. At the same department, he completed his undergraduate thesis (2019) and MA thesis (2021), both addressing the feminist critique of the absence of the concept of gender in the sociology of childhood, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Smiljka Tomanović. His doctoral research has since shifted toward the field of critical masculinity studies, where he examines street workout as a practice of the social construction of masculinity in Serbia, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Isidora Jarić. In addition to his research activities and work on his dissertation, he is involved in teaching as a Teaching Assistant in several undergraduate courses within the BA Sociology program. Since the 2023/24 academic year, he has also been involved as a researcher in international (European Social Survey) and national research projects (Co-creation of Knowledge: Patient Associations for Rare Diseases as Active Agents in Pursuing Sustainable Development in Public Health). He is also a member of the Sociological Scientific Society of Serbia (SNDS).
