Biography
Milica Vlajić is a Research Assistant at the Institute for Sociological Research and a PhD student at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. Her research interests include sociology of family life, sociology of youth and intergenerational relations, as well as social research methods. In addition to her research work, she works as a teaching assistant on several undergraduate sociology courses. She has been a visiting scholar at the University of Graz – Center for Southeast European Studies and the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI), and has attended advanced training at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, Odisee University of Applied Sciences in Brussels, and the University of Zagreb. During her studies, she received scholarships from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and the Fund for Young Talents of the Republic of Serbia, as well as from the Tokyo Foundation. She has participated as a team member in several national and international research projects, and served as Fieldwork Director for Round XI of the European Social Survey (ESS) in Serbia. She is a member of the European Sociological Association, the International Sociological Association, and the Sociological Scientific Society of Serbia.
