After the Serbian edition of the volume Social Transformation and Strategies of Social Groups the findings of the survey on a representative sample of Serbian population conducted in 2003 are here presented in their English version. Conditions of everyday life of individuals and social groups are analyzed against the backdrop of global societal change, but also focusing on changes at the level of households and families. The goal is to explore to what extent the change of political regime in 2000 brought a social transformation compared to the crisis of the 1990s.
