The book brings together the results of two projects: “Challenges of New Social Integration in Serbia: Concepts and Actors,” and the international project “Understanding Nascent Capitalism in Eastern Europe” aimed at exploring institutional frameworks and structural characteristics of the capitalist orders emerging in postsocialist countries. The research questions asked are, among others, after more than two decades since the systemic change at the global level that took place in 1989 is it possible to speak of specific forms of capitalism that distinguish countries in the region from one another; and if yes, does capitalism in these countries differ considerably; is it possible to speak of different capitalisms in the West and the South, etc.
