In a broad sense, the book addresses the influence of cultural factors on the shaping and operation of work organizations, ascribing thereby a considerable importance to cultural factors and the cultural context itself as aspects of the sphere of work. Special attention is paid to the national culture and its influence on both organizational structure of enterprises and modes and processes of management within them. As major cultural determinants, questions of motivation, organizational culture and reward system are also discussed. All these general theoretical ideas are applied to the particular case of work organizations in Serbia.
