Biography

Milica Vesković Anđelković graduated and completed her postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. Her research focuses on social demography, migration, diaspora, contemporary partnerships, and intergenerational solidarity. She began her academic career at the Faculty of Philosophy, Institute for Sociological Research, in 2010 as a doctoral student holding the position of junior research assistant. In 2017, she joined the Department of Sociology as a teaching assistant, and she currently holds the position of Associate Professor, teaching several courses at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels.

During her academic career, Milica has served on several committees at the Faculty of Philosophy, coordinated the Master’s programme in Sociology, and actively participated in the accreditation process of undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies in Sociology for the 2021–2028 accreditation cycle.

In the academic year 2021/22, she worked as a part-time lecturer at the Faculty of Geography, University of Belgrade. She has also been a visiting lecturer at the University of Bologna (Alma Mater Studiorum) and at the Sigmund Freud Private University in Vienna. She is the author of one single-authored and three co-authored monographs, has published numerous articles in national and international journals, and has presented at national and international conferences. Milica has also been a member of research teams, served as a local coordinator, and led work packages in both national and international projects. She is a member of several professional associations.
