This collection of papers covers a wide range of subjects. Depending on their scope the contributions may be divided into three groups: macro, meso and micro-oriented. While representing different sociological fields, approaches, and analytical levels, the chapters are, in the editor’s opinion, tied together by the common thread of a shared normative and theoretical orientation that he terms “the third way”.
