The edited volume The Inevitability of Interculturality brings together papers presented at the scientific conference of the same name, held at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade in October 2023. Much like the phenomenon of interculturality itself, the volume is characterized by a divergent and heterogeneous character. Beneath its thematic diversity lies a central objective: to approach interculturality from as many different theoretical and disciplinary perspectives as possible. For this reason, the volume is divided into three broader sections — Interculturality and Otherness, Identities in the Mirror of Interculturality, and Intercultural Competences and Cultural Heritage — which aim to bring a certain degree of coherence to the heterogeneous approaches while at the same time pointing to the complex nature of the phenomenon of interculturality.
