Zoran Lutovac and Slobodan Mrđa (eds.)

The diversity of approaches and subject matters of the 22 contributions to this collective volume suggest a recognition of the necessity for a multidisciplinary take on the migration phenomenon, which can be expected to yield solid scientific results and play an important role in steering public policy design and implementation. In addition to the “refugee crisis” affecting Europe in 2015-2016, which makes up the subject of most chapters in the volume, the other issues tackled are ways to theorize migration, the global, local and structural aspects of migrations, and their relation to other social phenomena. The volume is a joint edition of the Serbian Sociological Society, Institute of Social Sciences and Institute for Sociological Research.
