Biography
Marija Radoman, PhD, is a sociologist and Research Associate at the Institute for Sociological Research, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, where she currently serves as Head of the Institute. Most of her research to date has primarily focused on gender and queer studies, as well as on the study of political values, while her more recent research interests focus on emotions and social movements. Her work is grounded in qualitative methodology and employs a multi-methods approach.
She earned her PhD in Sociology from the University of Belgrade in 2019, defending a dissertation on same-sex partnerships. She has been awarded several international research fellowships, including a Senior Fellowship at the Brussels Institute for Advanced Studies (BrIAS) in 2026, and membership in the Young Academy for Cultures and Societies at the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (FRIAS) for the period 2025–2028.
